Terms of Use
Last Updated: October 22, 2025
Welcome to Manifest! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Manifest browser extension, web application, and any related websites, content, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts & Access
Registration: Some features (e.g., cross-device sync, premium functionality) may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and any activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
2. Constructs & Content
User Content: Manifest allows you to create, save, and share digital setups (“Constructs”). You retain ownership of your content but grant us the limited rights necessary to operate the Service (e.g., to store, sync, and display Constructs).
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and safety of any content you upload or share through the Service.
3. Payments
Subscriptions: Some features are available only through a paid subscription. Payment processing is handled by our third-party providers (e.g., Stripe), and their terms also apply.
Fees: Subscription fees will be disclosed at the point of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Manifest to violate laws or third-party rights; upload malware; harass or abuse others; post illegal, infringing, or deceptive content; or interfere with the security or operation of the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
5. Privacy
Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
6. Modifications to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Where practical, we’ll provide notice, but we are not liable for such modifications.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor the accuracy of user content or third-party services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Manifest and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, or goodwill; or other intangible losses arising from or relating to your use of the Service.
10. Extension-Specific Terms Addendum
Permissions: The Manifest extension may request limited browser permissions (e.g., to read open tabs, manage windows, apply blocking rules, or store settings locally) solely to provide declared features. We do not collect your browsing content unless you explicitly save it into a Construct.
Local Storage & Sync: The extension uses browser storage (e.g., local storage/IndexedDB) to operate. If you enable cloud sync, Construct data may be transmitted to our servers to provide cross-device access.
Blocking & Rules: When you enable focus/URL blocking, the extension installs rules (e.g., via Chrome’s Declarative Net Request API). You are responsible for configuring and reviewing your rules; some sites may be blocked or limited according to your settings.
Updates: The extension may auto-update via the browser’s store mechanisms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of changes to the extension component.
Third-Party Sites: Constructs may link to or open third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or availability.
